1969 Seiko Lord Matic 5606-7130 — Regulation & Sales Preparation
A personally owned 1969 Seiko Lord Matic prepared for sale with movement regulation, calendar testing, cosmetic case polishing, and documented timegrapher results.
Introduction
Prepared from Burris Time Co.’s personal collection for sale, with a focus on confirming the calendar system, improving observed rate through regulation, and presenting the watch honestly after cosmetic preparation.
Work Performed
The movement and overall mechanical operation were inspected before the watch was regulated and tested. Day and date operation, the quickset mechanism, and the bilingual English/Kanji day wheel were confirmed working. The watch was then prepared and photographed for sale.
Movement Regulation and Testing
The Seiko caliber 5606 automatic movement was regulated to improve its observed rate and tested on a timegrapher. This is not represented as a complete movement service or overhaul. The day wheel clicked, advanced, and cycled correctly in both English and Kanji, while the date and quickset functions were also confirmed operational.
Cosmetic Refinishing
The stainless-steel case received cosmetic polishing to improve presentation. The work was intended to refresh the watch while retaining its vintage character; it is not represented as an untouched original finish or as having every mark removed.
Measured Performance
After regulation, the watch recorded approximately -10 seconds per day, 260 degrees of amplitude, and 0.3 milliseconds of beat error in the tested position at the time of filming. Mechanical performance can vary with position, power level, temperature, and normal wearing conditions.
Final Result
The result is a well-documented vintage Lord Matic with a textured silver dial, properly functioning bilingual calendar system, and an observed timegrapher result that supports confident sales preparation. It remains a vintage mechanical watch and should be appreciated with normal expectations for age and variation.
